Autumn Apples Extension Set #1

Here is the first extension set to the autumn apples printable set!

This extension set is designed to work with the Autumn Apples Printable Set, building upon some of the same concepts and providing reinforcement of ideas introduced, as well as introducing new skills.  Keep reading below for a breakdown of what's included.

Autumn Apples Extension Set #1

Cover Page (page 1).  Either skip printing this page, or use it as a cover.

Number Trees (pages 2-5).  The trees are numbered 1-15, and there are 120 small "counter" apples.  The goal is for the child to place the right number of apples onto the tree.  If your child isn't ready for counting objects to 15 yet, either give them a hand (a great way to introduce the concept), or have them do as high as they can.

Buying Apples (page 6).  The apples each have an amount of "cents" that they cost.  Use real pennies, fake pennies, pieces of brown paper cut into circles, etc. and have the child figure out how many pennies each apple costs.  This is a great introduction to the idea that the penny has the value of one cent.

Sorting Acorns (pages 7-8).  Cut the acorns, and have the child put them into the correct category (small, medium, or large).

Build a clock (page 9).  Cut the numbers (1-12) in the small boxes, then let the child arrange the numbers on the large clock in order.

Pretty Patters II (pages 10-11).  Cut the apples in the final row, and use them to complete the patters on the previous rows.

Color Pretty Patterns II (page 12).  Help your child create a pattern, then color the apples with that pattern.

Complete the Number Sequence (pages 13-14).  Use the numeral apples from the Autumn Apples Printable Set and complete the sequences of numbers (ie, 5, 6, 7, _).

Complete the Letter Sequence (pages 15-16).  Use the letter apples from the Autumn Apples Printable Set and complete the sequences of letters (ie, A, B, C, _).

Number words (page 17).  Use the letter apples from the Autumn Apples Printable Set and form the number words shown.  An easy introduction to mathematical literacy.

Beginning sound (page 18).  Circle the beginning sound (from 3 possible options) for each of the objects (apple, leaf, acorn, and tree).

Ending sound (page 19).  Circle the ending sound (from 3 possible options) for each of the objects (apple, leaf, acorn, and tree).

Positioning words (page 20).  Help your child match the positioning word to the picture demonstrating that word.

Drawing shapes (page 21).  Draw the shape shown in the box (square, circle, triangle, rectangle).

Dot-to-Dot (page 22).  Connect the dots to reveal an autumn shape!
